We applied for a ‘ClubsGrant’ to cover the cost of the venue we’ve chosen.

The venue is a really beautiful room with amazing facilities in a Community Club, but it’s wickedly expensive for a private hire. Luckily we are a community group which qualifies to apply for a grant. We chose to apply for an ‘in-kind’ grant which is just the cost of the room.

If we get the grant it will kick start our work to plan our event for later in 2024. If we don’t get the grant we won’t be able to afford the venue and we’ll have to look for an alternative that we can afford.

The meeting of the Board which decides the ClubGrant is on Monday June 24 and we’ll find out soon after that. Fingers crossed …
