We had another really nice day at the Newcastle Story Time at the Royal Exchange (The Rex) in September.

Story Time is on the Second Sunday each month at the Rex at 2pm. We have a guest story teller and then, after tea/coffee/drinks and cake, an open mic story telling session. People can get up for about 10 minutes and tell us about a real life event from their life. We all learn new things from hearing each other.

We had several new people attend and we had three people get up to tell stories in the open mic; Dawn, Linda and Hugh (me).

Many thanks to Nathan Bell for being our guest speaker again to tell us about the process of writing his new book, and taking questions from the floor. Especially since he’d been out all morning promoting his books at a local street market.
